Pratham Charan Syllabus
Scheme of advancement of Cub-
1. A boy can be registered as a cub aspirant of completion of five year of age and invested after working for at least three month and completed the requirements of the pravesh test.
2. A Pravesh Cub will work at least for three month to qualify for pratham charan.
3. A Pratham Charan cub will work at least for three month quality for Dwitiya charan.
4. A dwitiya charan cub will work for at least nine month to qualify for tritiya charan badge.
5. A tritiya charan cub will work for atleast nine months to qualify four chaturth charan
6. A chaturth charan cub having earn totally six proficiency badge one badge each in tritiya charan and chaturth charan remaining four badge to be earn from the proficiency badge group not earned earlier. He may be awarded a spacial badge called "Golden Arrow" before completing ten year of age.
7. For the pravesh and pratham charan the cub master will arrange for training and testing.
8. From dwitiya charan onward and for proficiency badge testing counsellors will arrange testing.

HOW TO PREPARE PRESIDENT AWARD LOGBOOK
TEST FOR PRATHAM CHARAN :-
1. Know how to keep personal effect (clothes, footwear etc,) neat and tidy and be able to sew bottom on garments.
2. Learn to pray before meals.
3. Do daily Good-turn at home and at school
4. Do knee bending and toe touching exercises regularly and maintain good health habits.
5. Practice and two of the following physical activities.
A) Somersault B.) Leap Frog C.) Hoping D.) Skipping E.) Balance Walk F.) Throw and catch a ball from three meter.
6. Make a collection of five deferent leaves and flowers. Past and level them in a scarp book.
7. Be able to tell time by clock.
8. Know whipping tie a reef knot and clove hitch and learn their uses.
9. Demonstrate any three following :-
A.) Climb up a tree or a rop.
B.) Ride a bicycle safely.
C.) Write address and affix stamp on an envelope for posting.
D.) What to do, when the national flag is flown and National anthem is sung and played.
E.) Find out the meaning of the badge given at the time of investiture.
F.) Use of Basic communication device (telephone, cell phone, web phone, internet).

10. Be able to sing cub prayer , national anthem and Bsg Flag song.
11. Be able to tell the jungle story upto kaa's hunting.
12. Know jungle dance :- Baloo and kaa Dance
13. Attend atleast 8 pack meeting.
14. Be able to tell the name address and telephone / mobile numbers of his parents.

Note :-
A.) On complation of the test . A pravesh Cub shall be awarded the pratham charan badge by the local association or district association , as the case may be on the recommendation of the cub master.
B.) It will be worn above the bharat scouts and guides name strip or at the same place of Jersey.
C.) Pratham charan badge is a cloth badge. The background shall be blue in colours in the star and star shall be a five pointed star in white.
